Even though I was raised in Tri-Cities there’s still SO MUCH of the Seattle area that I miss.
So when I saw there was an indoor market open all year round I could not wait to check it out!
I did some digging and the market is located in an old Welch’s grape juice plant in downtown Kennewick that’s been completely transformed into an all year round indoor market place. It’s housing 60+ local vendors and producers in Tri-Cities.
I’m a sucker for small businesses (seeing as I consider myself one too) so my heart was filled with such joy that someone had the wherewithal to have this come to fruition!!
First of all, it’s warehouse style so it definitely exudes a cool-as-can-be trendy vibe. It reminds me of Pike’s Place soooo much in downtown Seattle. The signage alone got my heart reminiscing. I mean look at this beauty:
When I first came to hear about it, we came this summer and they have since added: more vendors, fully operational and clean restrooms (a potty training moms best friend), a kids corner and more outdoor seating. Again this is warehouse style so no heating and cooling (although they did have plugged in fans during the summer and heating lamps this time around), but we came prepared with our jackets. It’s been pretty chilly the last couple of weeks.
We came to the market during black Friday weekend and I was on the hunt for some Christmas decor for the house and something sweet for the kids.
We caught a sneek-peek of the Clause’s but the toddler had no intention of participating in a photo. We ended up leaving earlier than expected because he had a meltdown…over a snack. (Hello threenager!)
I still walked away with the tiniest little treasure that the toddler came to enjoy at home. Hopefully we can get another one on our next visit.
You can re-watch my Instagram Reel here for a little tour into this local hotspot. You can also check out their website for days, hours of operation and current map of vendors.
For now, we’ll be enjoying some hot cocoa with whipped cream.
